The official website of Leo District 306 A2 – “www.leodistrict306a2.org” has launched enhacing the communication between the Leos and the Leo district.The informative site while improving the Leo district’s public relation and publicity, provides information on district contest, projects, Leo clubs, council officers and the history of Leo District 306 A2. The website consists of a Leo Forum in which Leos can discuss Leo club related matters and problems. This website also provides its users a free unlimited storage email account under the domain “yourname@leodistrict306a2.org”. Leo clubs which get registered in the website get the opportunity of listing their upcoming meetings, projects and announcements in the website. Leos can also get to know about their club’s position in the district contest. The website has gathered many Internet and documents resources which would be much useful and convenient for Leo club officers. Leo club receives the 5 year Banner patch.

As one of the oldest Leo clubs in the Leo District 306 A2, Leo Club of Piliyandala received the five year banner patch from the Lions Clubs International. During the victorious past five years Leo club of Piliyandala has produced many District level leaders to Leoism.

Agro Project

Leos of Piliyandala organized an Agro Project as their first fund raiser. In this project Leos planted various kinds of vegitable seeds and roots in a land which was about 1/4 of an acre. Though the projects prime objective was to raise funds, it developed the skills of our leos a lot. The land was situated in a easily reachable destination for leos.  And we are hoping to maintain the Vegitable garden regularly. We are hoping to sell the cultivated vegetables among Leos and Lions. Inaugural District President of Leo District 306 A2 Leo Sadeepa Palliyaguru and District Leo Advisor Lion Noel palliyaguru witnessed the project and they actively participated in growing vegitables.  District Chairman for Leos Lion Noel Palliyaguru highly appreciated the project idea and the way the  project was done.

Grand Finale of the Leoistic year 2007/2008, The 3rd annual District Conference of Leo District 306 A2 was successfully held at the Excel World Auditorium on the 15^th Sunday June 2008. ILO IPMP Leo Shehan Kumar was the Chief Guest in the business session and the District Governor Lion Kamal Seneviratna beatified the Ceremonial Session.
